Death of the Ego

One fine day,
I gave up my ego.
I gave up my temper.
I gave up my high.
I gave up my freedom.
I gave up my dream.
I gave up my conscience.
I gave up my reason.
I gave up most of myself.

Yes.
I gave up my ego.

Whatever it was for, was it worth it? I'll never know.

Death of Ego ! Ego is your identity in this universe... something which distinguishes you from the rest of the world... once you lose your ego, I don't know how you can continue to live as an "individual"...

[Ego is also taken to be false pride... but I'm not referring to that]

Ob, I am not talking about ego as false pride!

Ego, IMO, manifests itself in various realms. And in a particular realm, if an ego dies - you still live as a result of its existence in (n-1) realms. But then in that particular realm, you are a prisoner - a prisoner of your own choices.

Screw it if it sounds too esoteric ;)

At bottom every man knows well enough that he is a unique being, only once on this earth; and by no extraordinary chance will such a marvelously picturesque piece of diversity in unity as he is, ever be put together a second time.

    also mate,

Of all that is written, I love only what a person has written with his own blood.
both by Friedrich Nietzsche....cheers!!wish that says it all..
